The name of this apartment is inspired by the historic Canto degli Aranci, which stood, and its plaque can still be admired today, at the corner of Via Verdi and Via Ghibellina. Its name comes from the garden of the Leoni family, which occupied the block behind it until the 16th century. Where offices are now located there was once the Palazzo Della Ripa, known in literature as a place designated for the gathering of "improvising poets."
