Christmas Market in Santa Croce Square

The 15th edition of the Weihnachtsmarkt, the traditional German Christmas market, returns to animate the splendid Piazza of Santa Croce until December 17th. The square will be set up as a classic Christmas village full of lights and decorations involving 50 exhibitors, offering shoppers a delightful path to walk among Christmas objects, gift ideas, and gourmet temptations. For the children there will be a ‘Casa di Babbo Natale’ (Father Christmas’ House) with a post office for writing letters to Santa Claus.

Etsy Christmas Market

For the first time, an event called Etsy Made Local has come to town with a Christmas Market dedicated to promoting local artisanal crafts. On Sunday, December 3, from 10am to 5pm, at the ‘Bottega d'Arte la Zaffera’ in Via Guelfa, 45 it will will be possible to discover more than 20 artisans, designers, and local artists who are part of Esty, which is the online marketplace for buying and selling unique handmade items. Among the objects one will be able to buy: illustrations and graphic artwork, fabrics and clothing, ceramics, articles for the home, and jewelery. Festival of the Immaculate

For the long weekend of the holiday in celebration of the Immaculate conception, don’t miss the fair held in Santissima Annunziata Square. From 10am to 7pm many local food and wine producers aas well as local artisans of handmade items await you ready to wrap your gifts to be put under the tree.

Christmas Festival

An unmissable appointment for both Florentines and guests of the city is the Christmas Festival which is held every year in Santo Spirito Square. December 17th will be dedicated entirely to Christmas with exhibitors and local artisans ready to make you fall in love with their organic products and handmade items.

Nataleperfile

Gifts and solidarity. Organized by the Italian Lenitherapy Foundation, the 14th edition ‘NataleperFILE’ returns to the Corsini Palace with over 60 exhibitors offering a vast assortment of clothing and accessories for women, men, and children, books, designer articles and home textiles, jewelery and bijoux, fragrances for the home and perfumes. Additionally, one of the rooms will host a wide range of donated products, including a corner reserved exclusively for wine and a space dedicated to vintage clothing and accessories. ‘Panettoneperfile’ and ‘Pandoroperfile’, versions of the two traditional Italian Christmas cakes: Panettone and Pandoro, hand-made by volunteers, will always be available for purchase during the three-day event.

Christmas Market in support of the Croce Rossa

Another appointment that is good for the heart is the Christmas market in support of the Red Cross of Florence scheduled for the first weekend of December at Oibihall. There will be stands with local delicacies, organic products, handmade items, accessories, jewelery, and ideas that will transform the usual Christmas shopping into a pleasant act of solidarity. For the little ones, the magic of Christmas always lights up at Ohihall with the Florence Winter Park and the Santa Claus Village in Largo Pietro Annigoni.
